When Google first introduced Google Apps for Domains and one setup an alias for their own email (gmail) domain hosting URL, one would only have to enter their username to login. This was very simple for Google to figure out given the URL was unique to your own domain.
At one point (I am guessing over 5 years ago), Google broke this functionality when they updated their login pages. So after that point one had to enter the entire email login including domain name which was painful and completely unnecessary.
Finally Google has re-implemented this super simple feature.

Pretty amazing development with the Apple Watch:
We’ve developed an algorithm to use the Apple Watch to detect atrial fibrillation — the most common heart arrhythmia — with higher accuracy than previously validated methods.

Except currently it is completely shit. I tried a few weeks ago to get Chromium working and gave up. You would think it would be straight forward but its not as you have to make a couple of special changes to Chromium settings which either didn’t work or don’t work as advertised.
I gave up and will wait for the FUTURE

Had an issue recently with Amazon AWS billing because I rebuilt an instance and mistakenly created it in another zone. What I didn’t realize is that Reserved instances have a zone designation to them so they only apply to instances in the same zone. So, my newly created instance was being charged at the On Demand price rather than being covered by the Reserve instance price. I didn’t notice this until I received a bill for the period. It was obvious that the bill was more than it should have been.
After discovering the problem I contacted their billing department and asked what they could do about it and they promptly reversed the charges so that I was charged as though it was covered by the Reserved instance. In fact I think they just reversed the charges altogether.
That is the right way to do customer service.
